Ten honest signals, one page. Editorial independence, open methodology, published track record, peer-reviewable working papers, EU-hosted infrastructure, a named founder with a public ORCID, and a corrections policy you can actually email.
1. Editorial independence
invest-like takes no money from brokers, no money from issuers, and no money from sponsored content. There is no pay-to-rank tier. No stock on the site appears for paid placement. The product is funded entirely by Pro, Capital, and Founder's Plan subscriptions. Affiliate links, when present, do not influence the verdict - they only finance the editorial hosting.
2. Open methodology
Every framework's pillar weights, deal-breakers, and scoring rules are published on /methodology/. Visitors can see exactly which fundamentals are weighted, where the framework calls a stock disqualified, and how the consensus signal is computed across the seven philosophies. No black box.
The cohort number on the homepage (currently +73.8% median above the S&P 500 over rolling 5-year windows) is reproduced and broken down at /track-record/. Per-grade tables, the live 30-stock model portfolio with locked entry timestamps, and the survivorship-bias caveats are all on the same surface.
Two working papers underpin the methodology and the halal screen. Both are archived on Zenodo with permanent DOIs and on SSRN with abstract IDs. Cite the DOI directly. PDFs are also self-hosted at /papers/ for AI citation continuity.
EU-hosted via Supabase Frankfurt and Vercel fra1, payments isolated through Stripe (we never touch card data), credentials hashed, full GDPR contact published. Solo-founder honesty: no SOC2 yet at our scale, but the posture is documented in full.
Fundamentals from Financial Modeling Prep and Yahoo Finance fallback. Filings from SEC EDGAR. AAOIFI Sharia Standard 21 implementation follows the published standard text. Refreshed daily. When a data point looks wrong, we trace it back to the upstream source and link the original filing where applicable.
7. Named founder, ORCID-linked
invest-like is built by Zaid Ghazal, indie software engineer in Kiel, Germany. The author identifier (ORCID 0009-0006-5151-6439) is attached to both working papers on Zenodo and SSRN, and to the Wikidata Person entity (Q139901534). The platform's Wikidata entity is Q139901465. Public name, public location, public contact.
Daily fundamentals refresh. Model-version pinning per scoring prompt so changes to the AI reasoning layer are versioned and disclosed. Major product changes ship to /changelog/ on the same day they go live.
