Where 600036.SS passes the test. A Buffett-style holding needs durable returns, conservative debt, owner-friendly management, and a price below intrinsic value. The full pillar breakdown on /buffett/600036.ss/ shows where China Merchants Bank clears each bar, and where it doesn't. The current composite score (81/100) reflects the weighted average across all five pillars.
What the score does NOT say. A high Buffett-Fit score is a pattern-match against documented criteria, not a forecast. A stock scoring 90 today can underperform if its underlying business deteriorates faster than the score updates. A stock scoring 30 can outperform if the business recovers. The score weighs current fundamentals against a documented framework: that's all it claims to do.
How invest-like measures this
The Buffett-Fit framework on invest-like scores any public stock from 0 to 100 across five weighted pillars: economic moat (durable competitive advantage), earnings durability (consistent profitability), management quality (capital allocation), financial health (conservative balance sheet), and valuation (margin of safety).
Each pillar is scored on the same 0-100 sub-scale using the rubric Warren Buffett has documented across 50+ years of Berkshire Hathaway shareholder letters. The overall score is the weighted average.
