• Earnings positive every year of the last five
• Owner earnings yield ≥ 5–8%, share count flat or shrinking

Buffett's mentor wrote the rulebook in 1949. Graham's framework is the most conservative of the four - low bar on each criterion, but every criterion is non-negotiable. If you sleep better when stocks trade below book value, this is your filter.

• P/E ≤ 15 and P/B ≤ 1.5
• Current ratio ≥ 2, debt/equity ≤ 1
• Profitable in each of the last five years

Lynch ran Fidelity's Magellan Fund at 29% annualized for 13 years. His genius: pay growth multiples only when the growth is provable. PEG ratio is the test - earnings growth has to keep up with the price tag. If you like compounders but won't pay any price, this is your filter.

• PEG ratio ≤ 1.0 (price scaled to growth rate)
• EPS CAGR ≥ 15% over five years
• Revenue growth ≥ 10% annually, FCF positive

Greenblatt's framework is the simplest of the four - just two metrics - and has beaten the S&P 500 by ~6% annually since 1988. The bet: high-quality businesses at cheap prices, ranked together. If you want a clean, mechanical filter that works, this is your shortcut.

• Earnings yield (EBIT/EV) ≥ 10%
• Return on capital (ROIC) ≥ 25%
• Buy a basket of 20–30, hold one year, repeat
