Biography

Joel Greenblatt was born on 13 December 1957 in Great Neck, New York, into a Jewish family. He attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a BS in 1979 and an MBA in 1980. His first job out of business school was at Bear Stearns, where he worked on risk arbitrage.
