What is the Fisher-Fit Score?
The Fisher-Fit Score is a 0 to 100 grade that measures how closely a stock fits Philip Fisher's growth-quality criteria: high R&D intensity, scuttlebutt-quality management, and a durable competitive position. invest-like computes it for every US-listed stock.

Short answer
Fisher-Fit grades a stock from 0 to 100 against the fifteen-point checklist Philip Fisher published in Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits: R&D intensity, management depth and candor, durable competitive position, gross-margin trajectory, and long-term orientation of the capital allocation. The headline number is the equal-weight blend of the pillars, combined into one score. Educational fit assessment, never advice.
How the Fisher-Fit Score is calculated
invest-like checks each pillar against published Fisher criteria using daily fundamentals plus retrieved passages from 10-K filings and earnings calls. Each pillar gets a sub-score from 0 to 100 and a paragraph of LLM reasoning. The pillars blend equally into the headline score, on the same 0 to 100 scale used across all seven framework scores at invest-like.
Scuttlebutt-quality management
Plain-language guidance that holds up, low executive turnover, equity comp aligned to long-term metrics, candid acknowledgment of misses.
Durable competitive position
Above-peer gross margin, growing market share, customer retention or repeat-purchase data, and a sales organisation that scales with the product.
Long-term orientation
Reinvestment over dividends in the early innings, capital allocation that tolerates 3-5 year payback cycles, and patient shareholders cultivated by the IR program.
Why Fisher-Fit matters
Fisher invented modern growth investing. His framework catches durable compounders before they look cheap on a Graham screen and before the multi-year ROIC track record required by Buffett. Treating Fisher-Fit as one of seven lenses surfaces high-quality growth stories that other value screens systematically miss.
