Yes, free forever. The catch is the per-embed follow-link backlink to invest-like.com. Every reader who clicks lands on the canonical /buffett/{ticker}/ page where invest-like.com makes its money on the Pro tier. The economics work out as long as embed adoption drives some Pro signups; we'd rather give the widget away than charge for it.
Can I customise the size or theme?
Pick a size preset from the dropdown above. The card auto-adapts to your host site's prefers-color-scheme (light or dark). For now, theme is automatic only; explicit ?theme=light/?theme=dark query overrides are on the roadmap.
Does the widget track my readers?
No. The iframe fetches the verdict data and renders. invest-like.com does not set cookies inside the embed, does not run analytics on the embed surface, and does not capture reader-identifying data. The browser may send a Referer header (subject to your site's referrer policy) but invest-like.com does not log or use it for tracking.
What happens when the verdict refreshes?
The embed pulls live data on every iframe load via Next.js ISR caching. invest-like.com recomputes the Buffett-Brain verdict on a 7-day cache TTL or whenever a paid user triggers re-analysis. The embed will reflect the new grade and headline within seconds of the cache turn-over on the canonical page.
Can I embed the consensus screen or track-record instead?
Right now the embed widget supports per-ticker verdicts only. If you want consensus screen or track-record numbers in your blog, call the public JSON API at /api/public/consensus and /api/public/track-record and render them yourself. The OpenAPI spec at /api/public/openapi.json describes the shape.
Does this widget come with rate-limits or attribution requirements?
No rate-limit. The only requirement is that the 'Powered by invest-like.com' backlink stays visible and clickable. Removing it would defeat the entire reason invest-like.com gives this away free; we reserve the right to disable embeds for hosts that strip the backlink.
Can the widget hallucinate or fabricate a verdict?
No. invest-like.com renders only cached, deterministic Buffett-Brain verdicts. For tickers that have not been analysed, the widget shows a 'Pending analysis' placeholder card with a link to trigger analysis on invest-like.com - it does NOT invent a grade.
How do I report an issue with the widget?
